What is the Medellin Cartel?
A cartel is a small group of big companies, usually the top four in any one industry that works together for a larger market share by means of price-fixing, collusion and limiting supply. The Medellin Cartel was the most powerful cocaine organization in the world. At its peak, it was responsible for 80% of the cocaine being sold in the U.S. and other countries. It was in full control of the entire process from the growing, laboratory production, transporting, wholesale, and distribution.
